National Pharmacy Education Day Celebrated with Grandeur at Sona Devi University, Ghatshila

A grand event was organized today at Sona Devi University, Ghatshila, on the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day. On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mr. Vidyasagar, the Principal of Swarnrekha College of Pharmacy, Ranchi, graced the event with his esteemed presence.

Addressing the students, Chief Guest Mr. Vidyasagar emphasized the importance of pharmacy education. He stated that it is essential to make today’s youth aware of the opportunities for innovation and research in the field of pharmacy, so they can contribute to improving society’s health. He also appreciated the dedication and efforts of the teachers at Sona Devi University in promoting high-level education and research.

Mr. Vidyasagar also praised the other initiatives undertaken by the university in the field of educational development. He encouraged the teachers and students of the university to promote quality and innovation in the field of pharmacy.

The Vice-Chancellor, Dr. J.P. Mishra, said that this day provides an opportunity to understand the importance of pharmacy education and its contribution to the overall healthcare system. Sona Devi University is committed to making its students competitive on a global scale.

Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad extended his best wishes to all the dignitaries, students, and teachers present on this significant day and highlighted the university’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education in the field of pharmacy.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the event organizers and all the guests. As we all know, National Pharmacy Education Day is celebrated every year on March 6th, marking the birth anniversary of Professor Mahadev Lal Shroff, who played a pivotal role in laying the foundation for pharmacy education in India. In accordance with the guidelines of the Pharmacy Council of India, this day is celebrated annually. Shri Shroff also contributed to the development of other aspects of the pharmacy profession.

The ceremony was attended by the Chancellor of Sona Devi University, Mr. Prabhakar Singh, Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad, Vice-Chancellor Dr. J.P. Mishra, and all the faculty members of the university. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and Ganesh Vandana, followed by cultural performances by the university’s students.
