Outstanding Performance by Future Managers: Grand Celebration of National Management Day at Sona Devi University

Jamshedpur, February 25, 2026:

The School of Commerce and Management of Sona Devi University enthusiastically organized National Management Day at the Vivekananda Auditorium. Although the day is officially observed across the country on February 23, the university hosted this special event on February 25 in accordance with its academic calendar.

The program commenced at 11:00 AM with the theme, “Management is not only leadership but also the systematic coordination of inspiration and ideas.” On this occasion, faculty members and students collectively expressed their commitment to nurturing the “Leaders of Tomorrow.”

The day-long celebration featured intellectual discussions, motivational speeches, interactive quizzes, and energetic competitions. The main highlight of the event was the competition titled “Battle of Wits: Girls vs Boys,” which created an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm in the auditorium.

AD MAD Show:

In this competition, participants were challenged to present creative, on-the-spot advertisements for everyday products. Students showcased their marketing skills, dramatic presentation, and out-of-the-box thinking by creatively promoting simple items such as matchsticks and brooms in innovative ways.

Tagline Challenge:

In this test of branding skills, teams were required to create attractive and impactful slogans for common products within just two minutes. The originality and quick thinking of the students captivated the audience.

During their address, faculty members stated that “Management Day is not just a formal event but an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of teamwork, strategy, and innovation.” Registrar Dr. Nit Nayna and Vice Chancellor Dr. Braj Mohan Pat Pingua also appreciated the students’ efforts and highlighted the importance of management education.

They emphasized that “management is the art of organizing ideas and innovation,” and added that the day’s program clearly demonstrated the students’ potential to become successful corporate leaders in the future.

The event concluded with the announcement of winners and a vote of thanks delivered by the Head of the Department of Management, Mrs. Monika Singh. However, the true success of the program was reflected in the collective energy, creativity, and enthusiasm of the students.
