Sona Devi University Students Gain Research Exposure at IIAB Ranchi

  • Students of Sona Devi University visited the Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (IIAB), Garhkhatanga, Ranchi today as part of an educational tour.
  • The purpose of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to advanced research in Agricultural Biotechnology, Molecular Breeding, Genomics, and related laboratory techniques.
  • A group of 18 students, accompanied by two faculty members and one research scholar, participated in the visit and gained valuable practical knowledge.

Students from the B.Sc. Agriculture Science program and the School of Biotechnology at Sona Devi University, Ghatsila, undertook an educational visit today to the Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology Farm, Garhkhatanga, Ranchi. The objective of this visit was to give students hands-on exposure to advanced research areas such as Agricultural Biotechnology, Molecular Breeding, Genomics, and modern laboratory techniques. This experience will significantly enhance their academic learning and motivate them to pursue research and innovation in the fields of agriculture and biotechnology.

The group consisted of approximately 18 students, accompanied by Mr. Sayan Banerjee, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture Science, Ms. Patatri Mali, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture Science, and Ms. Sonal Kumari, Research Scholar, Department of Biotechnology. During the visit, the participants gained valuable practical insights and hands-on experience in the field.
