The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sona Devi University organized the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

Several assistant professors and students associated with the NSS unit of Sona Devi University participated in the rally under the leadership of the NSS unit. The students conducted the rally in Kitadih village, which has been adopted by the university, and inspired a spirit of patriotism among the villagers.

Members of the rally also visited the Kitadih Anganwadi Center, where they interacted with the children, handed them the national flag (Tiranga), and raised patriotic slogans with them.

The rally was flagged off by Vice Chancellor Dr. J.P. Mishra and Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad.
In his address, Dr. J.P. Mishra stated that the Tiranga (national flag) is a symbol of our pride and the pride of the nation. He added that together, we will organize this campaign every year and work to make it a success.

The objective of this initiative is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among citizens on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations in the country.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign launched under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the national flag home and hoist it as a symbol of India’s independence.

This campaign aims to deepen the connection between citizens and the national flag. The Indian National Flag is not just a symbol; it represents our collective pride and unity. The purpose of this campaign is to foster a sense of unity, patriotism, and national pride by encouraging every Indian household to proudly hoist the national flag.

Following the Central Government’s announcement of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to be held from August 9 to August 15, this event has been organized annually.

Launched in 2022 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the campaign was initiated to instill a sense of patriotism and national pride by encouraging every Indian to hoist the national flag — and today, it has grown into a mass movement.
