A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Sona Devi University (SDU), Ghatsila and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Ranchi.
Dr. Nit Naina, Coordinator, signed the MoU on behalf of Sona Devi University, while Dr. Nitin Kumar Puri, Executive Director, signed on behalf of NIELIT.
Both institutions will jointly work to promote digital literacy and accelerate the delivery of skill development courses under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The objective of this agreement is to bring together industries, institutions, and academicians to develop well-rounded, skill-oriented professionals who can contribute to national development.
NIELIT is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It was established not only to develop human resources in the field of Information, Electronics, and Communication Technology (IECT), but also to design industry-oriented quality education and training programs in advanced and cutting-edge areas.
In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020 and other educational policies and frameworks, it is essential to enter into formal collaborations and Memorandums of Understanding with reputed institutions and industries to build skill-based capacities among Indian youth by leveraging the strength and capabilities of various institutions.
There is a strong need for collaboration between universities and industries to foster investment in research and development and to bring forward innovative ideas in research. Industry-academia partnerships have enhanced knowledge, innovation, and creativity, and have played a decisive role in the economic growth of every country.
