A pledge session for drug de-addiction was organized today in the auditorium of Sona Devi University, Ghatshila. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. J.P. Mishra, Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad, and Controller of Examinations Mr. Kamlesh Singh were present.

In the presence of university officials, all administrative, academic, non-academic staff members, and students took a pledge to remain free from drug addiction. Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad encouraged all officers and employees to make a firm resolution never to consume any kind of intoxicant, not even by mistake, in the future. He also urged them to inspire others in society to stay away from addiction.

On this occasion, NSS Unit Head Dr. Shiv Chandra Jha and members associated with the NSS unit of the university were also present. They pledged to keep their university campus free from the evil of addiction at all times.
