Home Science

Rural Development

Advanced study of rural society, sustainable development, public policy, rural governance, and community empowerment. Candidates examine rural livelihoods, agricultural development, decentralized planning, poverty alleviation, and participatory development strategies.

Pali NEW

Advanced study of the Pali language, Buddhist canonical literature, grammar, philology, and textual traditions. Candidates examine Pali scriptures, translation, manuscript studies, and the historical development of Theravāda Buddhist thought across South and Southeast Asia.

Buddhist Studies NEW

Advanced study of Buddhist philosophy, canonical texts, history, ethics, and cultural traditions across Buddhist schools. Candidates examine doctrinal developments, textual interpretation, comparative perspectives, and the historical spread and influence of Buddhism across Asia.

Advanced study of English literature, language, linguistics, and critical theory across historical periods and global traditions. Candidates examine literary research, cultural studies, discourse analysis, and contemporary approaches to literary interpretation and communication.

Hindi

Advanced study of Hindi language, literature, linguistics, and literary criticism. Candidates examine classical and modern texts, research methodologies, translation studies, and the evolution of Hindi language and literary traditions.

Bengali

Advanced study of Bengali language, literature, linguistics, and cultural history. Candidates examine literary criticism, research methods, classical and contemporary texts, and the development of Bengali literary and intellectual traditions.

Sanskrit

Advanced study of Sanskrit language, grammar, literature, philosophy, and classical Indian knowledge systems. Candidates examine ancient texts, literary criticism, philology, and research in India’s intellectual and cultural heritage.

Santali

Advanced study of Santali language, literature, linguistics, folklore, and indigenous cultural traditions. Candidates examine literary research, language development, oral heritage, and the socio-cultural history of the Santali community.

Ho

Advanced study of the Ho language, literature, linguistics, folklore, and tribal cultural heritage. Candidates examine indigenous knowledge systems, oral traditions, language preservation, and research on the history and culture of the Ho community.

Urdu

Advanced study of Urdu language, literature, linguistics, and literary criticism. Candidates examine classical and modern literary works, translation, research methodologies, and the cultural and intellectual traditions of Urdu.

Nagpuri
