Awareness Program Organized on the Occasion of the Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA)

On November 28, 2025, an impactful awareness program was organized on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Sona Devi University, Ghatsila. The main objective of the program was to make the university campus drug-free and to educate the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse.

During the program, students were administered the pledge: “I will not indulge in drugs, nor will I allow anyone else to do so.” With firm determination, the students vowed to lead a drug-free life.

Students were elaborately informed about:

  • How drug use hampers personal development,
  • How it poses a significant obstacle to community development, and
  • How a drug-free society forms the foundation for a healthy, safe, and progressive nation.

The students actively participated and expressed their commitment to understanding their responsibility in eradicating drug abuse from the roots.

The program was successfully conducted by NSS Program Officer, Ms. Patatri Mali, who inspired the younger generation to take an active role in quitting drugs and preventing others from using them.
