Sona Devi University Faculty Co-Authors Textbook on Pharmaceutics for B. Pharm Students

Mr. Rahul Kumar Shaw, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Sona Devi University, Ghatsila, has achieved a significant academic milestone by co-authoring a textbook titled “A Text Book of Pharmaceutics–I (According to PCI Syllabus)”, intended for B. Pharm First Semester students.

Mr. Rahul Kumar Shaw holds a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics and is actively involved in teaching and research in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. His academic interests include pharmaceutics, formulation development, drug delivery systems, and pharmaceutical research, and he has consistently contributed to academic excellence through teaching and scholarly activities.

The textbook has been co-authored by Dr. A. Bharath Kumar, Mr. Rahul Kumar Shaw, Mr. Ashish Anand, Dr. Jagpal Singh, and Dr. Indu Mittal, all of whom bring extensive academic and research experience to the work. The book has been published by Rudra Publishers & Distributors, New Delhi.
Designed strictly in accordance with the latest Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) syllabus, the textbook presents the fundamental concepts of Pharmaceutics in a clear, structured, and student-friendly manner. It aims to build a strong conceptual foundation for undergraduate pharmacy students and serves as a valuable resource for academic learning as well as examination preparation.
Speaking about the publication, Mr. Rahul Kumar Shaw stated that the objective of the book is to simplify core concepts of Pharmaceutics and make them easily understandable for first-year pharmacy students, thereby strengthening their academic base for advanced pharmaceutical studies and research.

In addition to its print edition, the textbook is also available on the online platform Amazon, making it easily accessible to students and academicians across the country.
